Description
Some things do not need explaining. This is a Detroit hat with one word on it, embroidered in white thread across the front panel of a structured trucker cap, and that is the whole idea. No mascot, no script, no borrowed mark — just the name of the city set in a heavy condensed face that reads clean from across a parking lot.
The blank is a Richardson 112, which is the cap most people already own without knowing the model number. Cotton-poly front panels hold the stitch, the polyester mesh back keeps it cool through a summer shift, and the plastic snapback means one size genuinely does fit most heads. The visor is pre-curved, so it looks broken in the day it arrives.
Four colourways, all of them dark: black, black on charcoal, black on white, and charcoal on black. Each one is embroidered rather than printed, so the type sits slightly proud of the fabric and will not crack or peel the way a heat transfer does. Made to order in the USA and shipped from Charlotte or Los Angeles.
