Description
Woodward. Gratiot. Michigan. Grand River. Jefferson. Five street names, stacked in heavy condensed type, and if you know the city you have already read them as a map.
Those five avenues are the spokes of Augustus Woodward’s 1807 plan, radiating out from downtown like the ribs of a fan. Every one of them still runs today, and between them they touch nearly every neighbourhood in the city. This Detroit shirt puts them in the order you would hit them going counter-clockwise from the river.
No logo, no mascot, no skyline. Just public street names in original typography, printed direct-to-garment on a Bella + Canvas 3001 — the soft, side-seamed, retail-fit blank rather than the boxy promotional kind. Black, navy or dark grey heather, XS through 3XL.
This is an original design. Detroit Outfit is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or licensed by any sports team or league — we make apparel about the city itself.
