Woodward. Gratiot. Michigan. Grand River. Jefferson. Five roads that fan out from the riverfront and have been organising how this city moves since Augustus Woodward drew them in 1807. This Detroit hoodie stacks all five in heavy condensed type across the chest — no map, no illustration, just the names, which is how most people navigate anyway.
They are public street names, which means nobody owns them and nobody licensed them to us. That matters to how we build: every design here starts with something that already belongs to the city rather than something borrowed from a team or a league.
The blank is a Cotton Heritage M2580, heavier than the fleece most print-on-demand shops default to, with a soft brushed interior, a front pouch pocket and a jersey-lined hood. Printed direct-to-garment in white water-based ink so the type sits in the fabric rather than on top of it. Three dark colourways — black, navy blazer and charcoal heather — in sizes S through 3XL, made to order in the USA.
