Description

Antoine de la Mothe Cadillac landed on the strait in July 1701 and built a fort, which makes Detroit older than the country it sits in by seventy-five years. This Detroit hoodie carries that date and nothing else: the city name in heavy condensed type with EST. 1701 tracked out underneath it, printed in white across the chest.

A founding date is a fact, not a mark. That is the point of the whole line — every design starts from something public about the city rather than something owned by a team, a league or a licensor. No logos, no mascots, nothing that requires a permission slip.

The blank is a Cotton Heritage M2580 pullover: a heavier fleece than the usual print-on-demand default, with a brushed interior, front pouch pocket and jersey-lined hood. The design is printed direct-to-garment with water-based ink, so it stays soft and does not sit on the fabric like a patch. Three dark colourways — black, navy blazer and charcoal heather — sizes S through 3XL, made to order in the USA.
