Description
Detroit is a French word before it is anything else. Antoine de la Mothe Cadillac named the place le détroit — the strait — for the water it was built on, and the accent came off somewhere in the next three centuries. This Detroit hoodie puts it back: DÉTROIT in heavy condensed white type across the chest, accent and all.
It is the city’s own name, spelled the way the city was christened. Nothing borrowed from a team, a league or a licensor — no logos, no mascots, no player names. Every design in this line starts from something public about Detroit: a founding date, an area code, a street, an etymology.
Printed on a heavyweight Cotton Heritage pullover with a lined hood and a front pouch pocket, in black, navy and charcoal heather, sizes S through 3XL. Made on demand in the USA, so nothing sits in a warehouse waiting for you.
Detroit Outfit is an independent brand. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or licensed by any sports team, league, or university. Every design is our own original typography.
